Postcolonial Perspectives from Brazil

Brazil's economic and social dynamics are shaped by the globbal firms involved in Brazils economy. At the same time in Brazil one finds strong indiginous movements fighting for human rights, dignity and preventing climate change. In this course we will learn about the perspctive of ondiginous people in Brazil. We will discuss the imperialistic life-style of the global north. We will see, what we can learn from postcolonial perspctives from Brazil. The course is taught by Tereza Ventura, Professor of Sociology at the State University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
